Studio Policies – PNW Art Laboratory, Bellevue, WA

At Pacific Northwest Art Laboratory, we go above and beyond to support artists and our creative community. Every material we stock is carefully sourced from independent local makers in the Pacific Northwest as well as small artisan suppliers worldwide—and always tested in our studio before reaching your hands.

We believe art should be safe, inspiring, and sustainable. Many traditional art supplies contain harsh chemicals, toxic thinners, and unsafe fumes. That’s why we prioritize eco-conscious, non-toxic alternatives whenever possible. From solvent-free oil paints to naturally pigmented powders, we offer materials that let you create without compromise.

Our goal is simple: to provide artists with the highest quality tools while protecting your health, your environment, and your creative flow.

At our studio, we prioritize clarity and respect in our studio rental process. Please take a look at our policies on reservations, cancellations, studio conduct, storage terms, and more, to make sure that everyone has a smooth and inspiring creative environment.

Reservations & Payments

All studio rental fees are due at the time of booking via our online system. You can secure your creative session with confidence.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Need to cancel? We understand. If you cancel at least two business days before your reservation, we’ll honor your payment toward a future booking within one year. Refunds are not available. Cancellations within two business days are non-refundable.
Pacific Northwest Art Lab reserves the right to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances.

Transfers

Not able to attend, but know someone who can? One-time annual transfer of reservations is allowed per artist.

Auto-renewals

If you're on a package or membership plan, you must manage opt-outs yourself—auto-renewals won’t be canceled on your behalf.

Product Returns & Exchanges

Changed your mind? You may exchange products within 30 days or receive store credit, provided they are in their original condition. No refunds. Please report defective items as soon as possible for replacement.

Check-In & Studio Conduct

Please check in using the provided on-site system or your phone. Be mindful of your rental window—sessions begin and end on time.
Respect our studio environment: no outside materials, no smoking indoors or within 30 feet of entrances. Maximum occupancy is 10. Only service animals are allowed. Any models must be of legal age.

Art Storage

Need some extra drying time? We store your work for up to 30 days for free. After that, unattached pieces become donations to PNW Art Lab.

Use of Artist’s Work

We love sharing art—but only if you're on board. Unless you opt out, we may use images of your work for marketing (social media, website, print). Let us know if you'd prefer we don’t.

Liability & Safety

Rent at your own risk. You agree to waive liability for accidents or damage during your session and indemnify PNW Art Lab and its representatives.
Washington State law governs this agreement.

Additional Info

We capture security footage for on-site safety—deleted routinely unless legally required otherwise.
