Eva Vernitska

Eva Vernitska is a Ukrainian-born artist based in Bellevue, Washington. Her work explores the emotional anatomy of the human condition—sometimes figurative, often abstract, always visceral. Working in both intimate and large-scale formats, she creates textured visual worlds shaped by internal weather: memory, mood, and metamorphosis.

“My work begins with emotion—unfiltered, instinctive, often hard to name. I use materials that allow both chaos and control: charcoal, chalk, oil, and crackled paste. Some pieces whisper, others demand—but all of them hold what can’t be said.

I’m drawn to symbols that reveal what lives beneath the surface. Nothing is planned. I follow sensation. If it feels too clean, I undo it. If it’s distorted, I define and revive it.

Every piece holds two truths: what’s visible and what’s felt.”
